So. It’s burning again. In the crib and bosom of JC. Cribs and bosoms are meant to be safe havens, but yet again politics and religion are overruling the woman, the man, the child, the animal, the safety, the love in this festering place we call home.
Baba Yaga, the child eating witch is back, feasting on children, devouring the flesh of people, gnawing the bones of our family, just like the serpent Nidhogg chomping away on Yggdrasil, the tree of life. No water will melt this old hag, she won’t vanish into thin air.
We live. And learn. Absolutely Nothing. We sit. And watch. And condemn. And pray.
But let’s face it; watching, condemning, and praying is totally useless. It doesn’t DO anything. It makes the people who watch, condemn, and pray feel better about themselves, but it does nothing. “You’re in my prayers darling.” Well, fat lot of good that will do. Ta very muchly, for nothing.
They’re looking into the Gorgon’s eyes. They turn to stone. And shatter. They may not even see the eyes before the explosion hits. But no matter, they go out with a bang. And who doesn’t want to go out with a bang?
But did you know that Baba Yaga is also considered to be the caring Mother of the Forest? Did you know that Medusa was beautiful before she got raped by Poseidon and turned into a figure of horror by the Goddess Athena? No wonder she sought revenge… I would.
Causality! It’s all about cause and effect! Someone triggers something. It will cause an effect. And that effect may very well be a tragic outcome of some nations need to dominate and to execute their “besserwisser”-attitude.
Don’t watch. Don’t condemn. And don’t pray.
